About Mrs. WiedlinBorn and raised in San Jose, California, I am a third year teacher at Burnett. I graduated from Silver Creek High School in 2004 and went to Sonoma State University for my undergraduate degree. My B.A. is in English Literature and my Teaching Credential is for Secondary English. After graduating from the teaching credential program in 2009, the economic situation made it difficult to find a full-time teaching position in Sonoma County. After doing some part-time substitute teaching, I eventually went into the private sector. My experience includes retail sales, telesales, business-to-business sales and sales recruitment. When my husband and I decided to move back to San Jose after living in Sonoma County for 10 years, I quit my job to find a full-time teaching position. After substitute teaching in the area for almost a year, I found Burnett Middle School. As a Speech/Debate and Creative Writing teacher, I thoroughly enjoy using my knowledge of public speaking to help students develop their confidence and skills. I love my position and very much enjoy teaching real world skills students will use in a variety of situations in their lives.
